artist statement: 

I started by exploring my idea for my sustained investigation, I wanted to tie it into something I struggle with one piece at a time. for this piece I wanted to focus to the addiction to marijuana

when creating this piece I wanted to show the topic but not in a very outright position. I wanted to show the person being absorbed by the smoke show how addition absorbs a person.
I used acrylic paint to make a blended background, then added dots and finer details to the smoke. I also used the pen to add more definition to the smoke.
