artist statement: when creating this piece I went back and forth scraping off wax and starting over multiple times. I wanted this piece to mean something, I wanted to use it as a message, I did blood splatter and dripping from this eye to show how sites can highly affect someone in a negative way.

I wanted it to be 3d and for people to be entered and felt a need to touch it, I did this by building up layers of wax to create an eye socket, I used and puddles/splatters of blood on the corners and different parts of the eye.

overall I like how the came out I think I could have worked in the details if I wasn't so pressed for time. This was also my first time working with medium, I feel as though I portrayed my idea not to the marks but similar to what I had imagined.
