Artist Statement:

when starting playing out what I wanted to do for this si I know I wanted to something with hallucinogenic. I wanted to show some more variety in my work so I choose I perspective and topic of the piece. 

when sketching out the hand I know i wanted to show what it can feel like to trip out. the melting hand was a point for me because I have heard stories of people thinking parts of their body was melting. I used this and perspective to put the viewer in the shoes of the person.

I used colored marker to add bright colors to emphasize the prompt. the color blocking method I used for the hand wa to add shadow and texture. I did layers of colors in the background to add haze affect.
