materials: black pen, colored pencil, ghapite, paper, painters tape.
measurements: 10'' 6''
process: I started with sketching the idea of the piece. I wanted to show the feeling of being mad, and the expression of biting one's tongue. I felt that anger is a very common feeling amongst teens, and so I wanted to represent exactly how I feel when I get angry or frustrated.
I started with a graphite outline of the face, then slowly I sketched in the features with colored pencils. I outlined everything with i black pen. but after I was done with all the colored pencils and pen ink, I felt that it was missing so I went in with my red and black colored pencils and made marks that I felt properly represented the feeling of anger.
I do feel that the particular piece really represents the meaning behind it, I think I could use more advanced techniques in the following IS. As well as bring more attention to the ideas behind the pieces.
