materials: oil paint stick, black pen

artist statement: I wanted to represent I more personal aspect but I realized that I have never actually be close to death and saved by someone else, but my mother has. over the course of my mothers treatment, she is in remission now, but when she was in the hospital she was constantly having blood transfusions. So that's why I wanted to focus on more blood like designs.

When creating art for many years I haven't really explored a variety of media and materials. I really like oil and charcoal pastels, oil stick paint is similar texture wise to the oil pastels but i find the oil stick paint I have more control over the colors.
