artist statement: 

when creating the jellyfish mural, I started with the general shape of the bell and body of the jellyfish. I found if I layed out the general shape of the piece it was easier to add detail and clean up the work. to make the curves and shape I used and exacto knife. I added pattern with the dots of tape, to add dimension to the piece.

for the falcon I followed similar steps, getting the general shape if the price. then using an exacto knife to perfect it, then add details. I found that when working with tape you kind of have to let go some of your control over the work.
