Words and Images

Artist Statement:

The first image is one of me doing a silly pose after getting work done in the garden, and the overlay image of words is a map from one of my favorite series: "Wings of Fire." The second image is of my mom posing by the truck, and her overlay image is of a poem she wrote when she was going through a tough time. Lastly, the third image is of my brother when he was laying on the tar and thinking about something. The overlay of this photo is of some of his favorite cassettes. I enjoyed doing this project because each image speaks something about its subject in an interesting way.
