Final Reflection:
I think that my experience in photography 1 was very successful. I was able to learn so much about what goes into taking a beautiful photo and how to edit them. I learned a lot about how to use photoshop, and I even learned how to develop film and make prints. I learned more than I thought I would, and I feel like I have been enlightened about photography. This has made me enjoy taking photos even more. The hardest thing for me in taking this class was being able to remember how to use the stuff in the dark room, and use it correctly. Over time however, I was able to overcome this with practice and persistence, using the materials again and again until I was more confident.
I would say that my favorite project this year has been the shadows and reflections. Even though a lot of the photos didn't turn our so well, I had fun just walking around the school and taking photos of whatever I thought looked good. I didn't care what other people thought because I was doing it for the class and I had a purpose. I could imagine that I was a professional photographer. My least favorite project would have to be the portraits. I was really unimpressed and disappointed with how those turned out. But at least I can learn form these mistakes for whenever I do this again.
This class has made a deep impact on how I view photos. I feel like I can acknowledge them more because I understand the techniques that the photographer might've used to make the image look so good. and I can recognize how much work has gone into the images after working on them myself in this class. Coming out of this class, I definitely have a better appreciation for the art of photography.
