Donate Life Design

Artist Statement:

I chose to center this work around something to do with light because it is uplifting and positive, and that is the kind of message people need to know that they would be doing something really good by donating organs. This project relates to my life because this is the kind of thing I feel like I would want to see if I needed an organ or was thinking about organ donation.

The materials I used for this project was watercolor and Sharpie marker.

My process for creating this work was that I started by creating a sketch and deciding what colors would go where. I also researched pictures of what flashlight beams looked like. I added in the watercolor, and then afterward I did whatever was supposed to be in Sharpie. My project evolved because I decided to add a heart in the flashlight beam and make the word "light" look like it was lit up. My next steps could be... nothing. I am really happy with how this poster turned out.
