I used a toy tiger to draw it's pure contours and add colorful designs to the backgrounds. I used an HB drawing pencil to sketch out the bodies of the tigers and the design patterns. Then I went over them with colored pencil; enhancing lines and coloring areas in. I composed the artwork like this---especially the tiger's positions---because I wanted it to look neat and apiezing but still creative.
The composition techniques shown are shading with colored pencil, pattern designs, pure contour, and representational abstract. These are shown all throughout the piece. /my project evolved because I kept changing the forms of the tiger's bodies and adding new aspects to the designs.
The story behind this piece was that somehow I subconsciously made the piece halloween themed: tree with orange leaves, spiderweb, thorns---and also managed to make it me themed, too: pok-a-dots, jagged triangles. I think it is about a tiger going on a strange journey. This piece relates to my life because I think my life itself is a strange journey. ;)
