Relief Project

Butterfly Garden

The ideas that are visually evident are the butterflies, bright colors, and nature. I wanted to create something like a butterfly garden so it needed to be colorful and naturey. This project relates to my life because I have always loved butterflies and finding them among the wildflowers in my fields. The sticks used also relate to my life because they are from by cherry tree, and the cherries are the best.

The materials used is this project were black foam board, hot glue, magazine paper, and wild cherry tree branches.

My process in making this project was creating a background, arranging the sticks the way I liked them, glueing on the butterflies where they looked the best, and putting the dots in the tips of the branches. I changed from my original background to the simple black background because I felt like there were too many colors going on. If I were to do something different or add something more to this project I would do something with the background that wasn't plain, but wasn't too crazy.
