3 eggs, beaten until light
3 cups light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. anise seeds
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2 Tbsp.
hot water
4 1/2 cups flour
Add sugar to eggs, beating continuously until light. Add seeds, salt and soda. Mix in flour. Form hickory nut sized balls. Roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 min. in 350° oven. Allow to remain on cookie sheet until cool. These improve with age.
