Kahlua

Dissolve 2 oz. instant coffee and 4 cups sugar in 2 cups boiling water. Be sure to dissolve completely. Let cool. Add 1 pt. vodka . Pour into two sterilized bottles. Add 1/2 vanilla bean to each bottle. Let age at least 30 days. Mary Hamilton gave me this recipe and I prefer it to the original. I think it's the vanilla bean.
