This is sinfully rich with chocolate.
1 cup oleo
4 eggs
1 cup flaked coconut
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
In large bowl, beat oleo at medium until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add rest of ingredients. Stir until well mixed. Batter ill be heavy.** Bake in a 9x13 pan at 350° 45 min.
Frosting:
1/2-cup oleo
6 Tbsp. milk
1/3 cup cocoa
1 box 10x sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 7 oz. jar marshmallow creme
Mix first 4 ingredients. Blend at low speed, gradually increasing speed until smooth. Stir in 1/2 nuts. Spread on top of warm cake. Swirl with marshmallow creme. Sprinkle remaining nuts on top.
** My sister, Gerry, added a jar of marshmallow creme to the cake batter also. It was a mistake but it sure tasted good. It makes the batter a little lighter.
