Leslie's Pecan Meltaway Pie
Leslie brought this recipe home from college and it is as good as my old French Silk recipe.
1 baked pie shell
Cream:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
Beat in 1 at a time:
3 eggs
3 sq. chocolate melted
1 tsp. vanilla
Fold in 1 cup chopped pecans (Save 6 whole nuts for garnish.
Pour into shell and chill until firm; garnish. If you're really into calories, whipped cream is nice on top or around the sides. Further research has determined that Helene Martin Mercado's aunt should get the credit for this recipe. Also, Janet Good says that you'll have less problems with curdling if eggs are at room temp.
