Alma Persun, who was born and raised in Cogan House, invited us to her lovely home in Preston Hollow when we first came to Texas. She served this as a dip with Fritos but it also makes a nice luncheon dish.
1 can cream of mushroom soup
6 oz. sharp process cheddar cheese, cubed
1 - 6 oz. can crab meat, drained
OR
1 - 6 or 8 oz. pkg. frozen King Crab, drained
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 Tbsp. chopped pimentos
Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until cheese is melted. Use as a dip with corn chips or serve as entree' over toast points. A garnish of hard boiled egg is nice.
