This 5km (3 mile) walk begins in the small car park south of Sprasholt. It heads up into Crab Wood via a bridle path, then loops round, along a sunken path and down a field back to the car park.
1.
Start from the car park at SU 435 305 (https://w3w.co/procures.rotations.repeated).
2.
Cross the road and take the lane on the other side. Continue until the point when the path meets the gravel track with a bridle track on the left. Take the footpath to the right of the track for horses and continue westward through Crab Wood until you meet the road on the other side.
3.
Cross the road and follow the track through the next set of woods until you meet the next lane on the edge of the wood. If you take wrong turn and find yourself at the edge of the wood bordering a field, follow the edge of the field until you come out of the wood.
4.
In spring, watch out for the bluebells.
5.
At the road, turn left and continue past the house on the right and the modern one on the left.
6.
Take the footpath on the left down the hill.
Take the next path on the left after the field, then take the next path on the right across a field towards the village, admiring the view as you go.
At the bottom, turn left back to the car park.
