Blockley 5 miles
Start and finish at the church in Blockley and follow the route via the "private" village of Batsford, its arboretum and cafe. Of note are the lime grove and views across the countryside. We saw a red kite on our journey. The route is along well marked bridle and footpaths.
The estate at Batsford was the home of the Mitford sisters and setting for "Love in a Cold Climate".Blockley church is the film location for the BBC TV series "Father Brown" and there are some memorabilia in the church.
