This 4km walk starts from the bank of the Danube at the tram/bus hub outside the Covered Market (https://w3w.co/deliver.tips.trucked). Cross the Liberty Bridge (Szabadsag Hid) head up the slope opposite the Gellert hot baths.

Follow the route in OS Maps

Visit the cave church and then head up to teh top of the hill and the citadel where you will have a panoramic view of the city.

Head down the hill further up river, past the huge statue to St Stephen and down to the Elizabeth Bridge. Then follow the river back to the start on the Pest side.
