Park in the Caen Hill Locks Car Park (grid ref: ST 986 615,  https://w3w.co/pats.reclined.mistress) for this 7km route along the Kennet and Avon Canal tow path.

Head to the locks and use one of the footbridges over the gates to join the tow path. Turn left and head up along the canal.  At the wharf there is a small museum and café or a short walk from here is the Black Dog Café for home made cakes and "uplifting" coffee.

Continue along the tow path, under the main road and sharp left.  Cross the canal via the bridge, cross the main road and head up past the old park lodge, through the housing estate.  At the end of the road, turn left along the Quaker Way.  At the end, turn right back along the canal path back to the start.
