Hinton Ampner - Cheriton

This 6 mile (9.5km) walk loops from Hinton Ampner up past the source of the Itchen, through the quiet village of Cheriton, along the Itchen Way and back down the Wayfarer's Walk to Hinton Ampner Church. It takes in views across the Downs, Hinton Ampner House and the chalk stream beginnings of the River Itchen.

Park either in the village or at the National Trust car park. Make your way to the church, where you pick up the Wayfarer's Walk.
