Puy de Dome

We caught the train to the top of the Puy de Dome and walked round the paths taking in the Roman temple and its museum and the TV transmitter.  There were amazing views of the ancient volcanoes in all directions.  Once at the top, walking was fairly level and easy.  

An alternative is the walk up the mule path to the top.
