Have a HEART that is HEALTHY!
Wednesday, February 1
During February, I thought we might zero in on strategies for keeping your ticker ticking! Did you know . . .
According to Dr. Oz in the January 22 Parade Magazine, ". . . controlling snoring is important; a recent study showed that snoring more than doubles your risk for developing metabolic syndrome, one of the major predictors of future cardiovascular disease. Interrupted sleep, often a result of loud snoring, increases this risk even further."
A good night's rest is helpful and "healthful" for your heart . . .
Happy Wellness!

Info from the American Heart Association web site:
The reason prompt treatment is necessary is to prevent damage to the heart. The heart is considered a muscle & the longer treatment is delayed the more damage that is done to the heart. The same is true in a stroke-there is a specific medicine to help dissolve the clot that caused the stroke but it must be given w/in a certain time frame of the onset of a stroke.
Karen thinks it is within 3 hours!
