Directions

Can you balance a peacock feather on the tip of your finger?

"There are gonna be PROBLEMS!! BUT I'm a Problem Solver!" and it's BEST to solve problems together!!

Take Away!

Practicing balance sharpens focus and concentration skills. You have to be paying attention to the task "at hand" to git 'er done! You wobble and move about, but your brain is zeroed in on the challenge. This is how we approach our tasks at school. We focus, concentrate, and git 'er done! There are plenty of distractions . . . but we stay with the current job, getting stronger and smarter with every effort. Got balance?

Use the WHOLE brain in your head!

Breathing calms the body, focuses the brain. A deep breath allows the prefrontal cortex time to work. You can get more accomplished in your downstairs brain!

Knowing what you can control, helps you use your time and energy more wisely.

Every time you read a story, you have an example of how to solve (or not solve) a problem!

ALL Feelings are OK! We don't LIKE to feel the unpleasant feelings but it is a natural part of life to experience them.

ALL Feelings are OK! It's what you do with them that's tricky . . .

(2) Nothing Gets Broken

Moving your body wakes up your brain!
