Key Ideas:
ALL Feelings are OK
Feelings come in 2 flavors: Pleasant and Unpleasant
Manage Feelings where (1) Nobody Gets Hurt and (2) Nothing Gets Broken
Center 1 -- Determine if the feeling cards represent PLEASANT or UNPLEASANT feelings
Center 2 -- Manage feelings in "okay" ways: breathe, play with your pet, move, sing, draw, etc. Tub includes yoga cards and other ideas to explore.
Center 3 -- If you could touch a feeling what would it feel like? juggling ball (squishy, maybe "confusion?"), stress toy, smooth stones, jagged rock, cottonballs, play dough, thermic tablets, The Way I Feel by Janan Cain
Center 4 -- If you could describe feelings in colors, what color is "happy?" My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss, color tablets--pink, yellow, blue, brown
Center 5 -- What makes you angry? Draw or write about a time you were angry. Anger Inside Out toy in different sizes -- sometimes we're a little angry like frustrated, annoyed or sometimes it's bigger like when we're ready to EXPLODE!!!
