• • Large vessles:

    • aneurysmal dilatation

    • accelerated atherosclerosis

    • aortic dissection

  • Cardiac:

    • Acute - Pulmonary edema, myocardial infarction

    • Chronic - Clinical evidence of CAD, LVH by ECG or echocardiogram

  • Cerebrovascular:

    • Acute - ICH, coma, sz, mental status changes, TIA, stroke

    • Chronic - TIA, stroke

  • Renal:

    • Acute - Hematuria, azotemia

    • Chronic - Sr. creatinine >1.5 mg/dL, proteinuria >1+ on dipstick

  • Retinopathy:

    • Acute - Papilledema, hemorrhages

    • Chronic - H'ges, exudates, AV nicking
