Beta-blockers contraindications

• Absolute C/I:

  • Bradycardia (HR <60)

  • Hypotension (SBP <100 or MAP <65)

  • Moderate to severe LVF

  • Shock

  • Allergy/Intolerance

  • Heart block: 2° and 3°

  • Severe COPD

  • Severe Asthma

  • Signs of peripheral hypoperfusion

• Relative C/I:

  • Brittle DM

  • Concurrent use of CCB

  • Severe PVD (unopposed alpha-adrenergic activity)

  • Cocaine abuse (unopposed alpha-adrenergic activity)

  • 1° AV block
