The inventory view slides on from the right (like Diablo), re-centering the open view on the character.
The inventory view consists of an equipment view, where items are dropped onto their respective locations on a character, as well as accessible items in the backpack (Accessory). Below are two tabs that show the character's physical inventory and below a panel with the player's "Matrix."
Equipment and Backpack Sketch
Items equipped and in the backpack can be used in combat, where items in the player's Matrix are only accessible out of combat.
Items equipped and in the backpack have weight, and the player is limited to equip and carry items up to their carrying capacity. Items in the Matrix do not have weight, but instead each require a specific number of bytes of storage.
The Matrix items appear as list, with an icon next to each item name, as well as their quantity and total size. The items in the Matrix can be sorted by type and size. Items in the matrix can be flagged for automatic use, which enables them to be automatically consumed to sate Appetite or for Crafting. The list can be in a condensed view with only the icon, name, size, and lock toggle, or it can be displayed in a detailed view where it has the icon, name and description, size and auto-use toggle.
