This person is not the Charlton Heston of the early 21st century. Before Decentralization he was known by a different name and joined as a member of the Frumentarii. In his early days, he was in a relationship with the then-scientist now known as Annathema when they lived in Sebastopol. They had a son, Cobb Hargraves.
During decentralization he re-evaluated his life and fancied making himself and image of Charlton Heston, having read books and seen movies with or about him. His more radical ideals for the future of mankind eventually resulted in a schism from the Frumentarii, and while not formally excommunicated, he remains Frumentarii only in name.
Those that know of him endearingly refer to him as "Charl" or "Cheston." Many gun and club-toting survivors joined forces under Charlton during Decentralization, and a pseudo religion developed around him, known as Chestonism.
He is a skilled mechanic, able to craft and maintain many firearms. Cheston is almost never without his M1 Garand rifle.
