G: What is your definition of emp.
M: Emp is a place of presence. We should start with self-emp. That involves emo emp, cogn emp, attentional emp.
Empathy starts with a place of presence. A self empathy
An emotional and cognitive empathy
G: Core of emp is self-empathy and thinks flow from there?
M: Yeah
G: How could your life improve with emp
M: Relationship with myself. My immediate relationships will improve. The world is a better place with emp.The more emp the better the world
It Improves the quality , my relationships with self and others
The world is better place. The better off the whole world is.
G: Tell a story when you felt understood
M: I think, what comes to mind is a time where I was struggling to be understood, not thinking that I was understood. I remember a past relationship, when I didn’t receive emp from partner and got from somebody else. The contrast of wanting it and then getting it.
Found someone that could really hear me. It was in a relationship. I wasn’t getting it from my partner and not getting it, from someone else.
Found it elsewhere. It stood out for me and it was a real contrast.
G: That was an important element in your life.
M: Popped up in my mind.
G: Who do you feel as a role model for emp?
M: That’S a great questions! I worked with a number of coaches who are fairly descend. I trained with M Rosenberg. He really impressed me.

G: What about him was impressive?
M: His ability to instill down to the essence of what people were communicating. To connect to their values and needs.
G: To instill to their essence.
M: Getting to the essence, cutting thru the background noise.
