team-6 Interview
How might we make empathy circles fun and engaging for high school students?
Lee-Anne interview Edwin
L: thinking about high schooler and what’s fun for them, what are your thoughts and ideas
E:I don’t feel like I have a lot of insight.
Don’t have much contact w/ younger ppl. or high school students
But i just did a mini-design, ppl cld talk abt anything they wanted to but didn’t address it so much. what did come up was something abt felt experience is what is engaging is, if you can feel something deeply.
My sense is that younger ppl want to do something more physical, more mirroring or mindstorming exercises. e.g. IDEO has mindstorming, you have to physically mirroring show your idea.
Fun seems to be more superficially of a word and engagement is deeper level such that it doesn’t really matter if a person if a person is having fun or not. if ppl feel more engaged they might not need fun. Contribution to someone’s well being you’re not having fun but deep sense of meaning and contentment. Other terms that may lead to engagement. have the idea of failing and celebrating the failure.
