Moral action

Human freedom versus animal behavior

Moral agents and moral actions

Two concepts of freedom

    • Freedom as non-coercion: when nobody prevents us from doing something we want to do. Also when nobody forces us to do something we do not want to do.

    • Freedom as self-determination: when we choose our goals by ourselves, free of compulsion, obsession or any other psychological factor that may interfere with our freedom to choose.
