New bottles, Expanded production

Happening day, group meeting in the morning at 8am, photoshoot to 12 at cafe, procurement for more bottles led to new bottles, expanding our production sites

21st January 2020 - 50 days out to business showcase

Started our day out with a group meeting first thing in the morning to discuss our finding and results over the past week! We managed to push out 12 sales in 4 days the past week and learnt from our customers feedback.

Some of the pointers for growth were:

  • Making our product more transparent to the customer (They should be able to understand our product just by having it) - We found ourselves explaining the product too much
  • Growing our organic customer base - Our sales are too concentrated on our circle of friends
  • Streamlining the sales process - Too many steps and confusion in accounting for sales
  • Continue to understand our target market better and generate more sales -lead up to B2B
  • Streamline the production process - Our production was taking up too much time

We had our team and product photoshoot afterwards at Connect 71 cafe in NTUitive building, which was elegantly designed and was an ideal spot for the shoot. Doing so allow us to generate more organic content for our product in social media, to appeal to prospective customers who are Instagram users.

Afterwards we headed out of NTU to purchase additional bottles as we would run out of stock shortly with only 6 bottles left in inventory.

We were looking for a discounted $1.90 Ikea 500ml Korken bottle which was ideal for our purposes, however we found out that IKEA was OUT OF STOCK.

We immediately started to source for nearby glassware shops and managed to locate one which had a similar glass bottle at $1.40/pc. We checked out the quality and decided to purchase 96 bottles at a discounted price of $1/pc. This would greatly increase our margins for future sales!

At night, we worked on expanding our production by spreading out our resources more. On the right you can observe our latest shareholder's new brewing kit that will help him produce up to 2 bottles a day independently. Doing so eases the workload on the core production.

The past week has been really fulfilling, and we have been able to grow the business rapidly! The feedback received from our customers so far has been humbling and we hope to be able to reach out to more people in the upcoming days.

Signing out,

Gabriel
