It's been a while since Alpaca Brewery started and we met in school today to give our instructors an update about our current status. We shared about our current efforts and received insightful feedback on how we can improve.

Some of the feedback that we received included:

  • Advice on how to approach the B2B model: As we have already approached some existing businesses, albeit unsuccessfully, Roderick gave us some advice on how to pivot our approach. For example, we can look into group buying where we can gather groups of interested coffee drinkers together and sell our coffee at cheaper prices.
  • Advice on marketing: We showed our instructors our current marketing initiatives and received feedback that it is catered more towards B2B than B2C. There were some suggestions to experiment with guerilla marketing and to better optimised existing content.
  • Advice on B2C: Currently most of our sales are coming from our inner circle of family and friends and we sought advice from our advisors on ways to branch out our business. Through a process of brainstorming and critique, we decided to venture into Telegram sales as it is a free sales channel where we'll be able to improve our brand visibility and make sales from beyond our inner circle.
