Finding The Idea

For a few weeks now, my team and I have been trying to come up with that one business idea that 'clicks'. Having undergone the intensive entrepreneurship training and attended previous batches' business showcase during the recess week, we were inspired and wanted to build a business that was viable, feasible and sustainable.

As all of us hail from different majors, we had conflicting schedules and it was a challenge to arrange for a physical meet-up. However, we still tried our best to meet-up and we finally did two weeks before the start of the module! We met at 7am in the morning for our first idea sharing session at Boon Lay MacDonalds. Each of us enthusiastically prepared 2-3 different ideas each and we pitched our ideas to one another. It was interesting to see the kind of ideas that each team member brought to the table as they were shaped by their individual experiences. For example, Leon who is a mobile phone shop owner, brought an enterprise idea that surrounded selling mobile phones online. While Joo Kai, who is currently running an e-commerce store on Shopee shared about the potential of an e-commerce shop selling knick knacks. We shared and built upon each other's ideas and finally narrowed down to three ideas that we deemed most viable, feasible and sustainable: 1) E-commerce shop selling knick knacks, 2) Cold Brew Starter Pack and 3) Mobile phone e-commerce shop.
