Reflection on possibilities

8th February

I attended both an entrepreneur-related event and sat in Mr Jason's entrepreneurial marketing class to gain more knowledge and insights on rooms for improvement for Alpaca Brewery.

Based on the sales sheet and the customers' feedback on our products, I felt more confident in penetrating into the cold market to garner more sales. We can do so by providing free samples within our faculties and hall, on a B2C level.

For B2B, I am thinking of penetrating into a financial industry, mainly financial advisors that are of similar age to me. This is because I noticed they tend to organise regular seminars for their customers / colleagues.

By pitching to financial advisors, that we can provide beverage catering solution to the crowd in the event, we would gain a bigger traction and marketing awareness between financial advisors in the company, as well as their clients. Given the Financial Advisors' job nature to market themselves aggressively, we might be able to expect a more effective outcome with our marketing strategy if we succeed in collaborating with them. Through this strategy, we hope to achieve a group-buying concept, where financial advisors can simply contact one of us to purchase a big bulk to facilitate their event.

On the other hand, I was pondering about the R&D aspect of the business, if there are possibilities in diversifying our products, or even extending our product line.

1. we can consider making chocolates to match with our cold brew as sweetening agents. I was inspired when I tried having a bite of chocolate and a sip our cold brew, which provided a sweet finish.

2. we can consider storing aromatics like cinnamon with the grounded coffee beans, so that the end product, our cold brew, can have a more unique taste that differentiates us from our competitors.

In the meantime, I am sourcing for literature reviews on cold brews that would be able to substantiate our company's products in a more credible way.
