Follow Up (12 Oct)

Updates before project deadline

Its one week into our project, we met up at Buona Vista to discuss and update our progress. We started off with sharing some of our reminiscent thoughts since we decided on the project and realised that we face quite a few obstacles to get this business up and running.

1) How to package the product well

2) Location Location Location - such a key decision that we need to find a long term solution for

3) Product as a concentrate or as a ready-to-drink

We started drafting up our rough timeline and confirmed our roles in this group. Planning out Short/Mid/Long term goals for each function of our team.

During the week we got some feedback from starbucks baristas mentioning that cold brew is actually rather popular but not well-known.

We also got our first 4 batches out testing various different Bean-to-Water ratios to get different strengths of concentrates. I had some coffee making equipment at home so we utilised it to get a better feel of how to produce quality cold brew.

I feel the need to have a better appreciation of coffee as I lack the expertise to differentiate good quality coffee from better quality coffee and that might hinder our reputation if we were to meet more picky customers.
