Even if your laptop settings are correct, the browser can block the camera.
Look at the Address Bar (where you type the website URL).
Click the Lock Icon (or settings icon) on the far left of the URL.
Find your SSID Wi-Fi and right click Forget.
Ensure the toggles for Camera and Microphone are set to Allow.
Select the Correct Hardware in Meet
In the Meet window (before or during a call), click the Three Dots (⋮) at the bottom.
Select Settings ⚙️
Audio: Click the dropdown under Microphone
Choose your Microphone.
Video: Click the Video tab and ensure "Integrated Camera" or "FaceTime HD Camera" is selected.
Enable "Hardware Acceleration
Open Chrome or Edge.
Click the Three Dots (⋮) in the top right and select Settings.
On the left sidebar, click System.
Ensure the toggle for "Use graphics acceleration when available" is turned ON
Click the Relaunch button that appears. According to Google Meet Help, this is mandatory for visual effects.
