After Bitraser wiped has been performed on a device and the client plans to redeploy it to new user, this guide will help you how to reinstall the operating system on a HPl device using their recovery tool.

Downloading the recovery software

Download the HP Cloud Recovery Client.
- Go to the Software & Drivers page for your model, expand Software-Security, and then click Download next to the latest version of HP Cloud Recovery Client. If you are prompted to run or save the file, click Run.
Insert the blank USB flash drive (minimum 32 GB), read the welcome message, and then click Next.
Enter the serial number of the device, click Next.
Use the drop-down menus to select the Recovery Options "Operating system and Drivers" , Region, and Download Server, and then click Next.
Select your USB flash drive from the drop-down menu, and then click Next.
Carefully read the confirmation message, which states that any information on the USB flash drive is deleted during this process, and then click OK.
When the download completes, click OK.
To finish the download and close the program, click Finish.
The recovery download is ready for use on your HP PC with Windows 11 Professional (64-bit) or Windows 11 Enterprise.

Performing an HP System Recovery with your USB flash drive

Turn on the device and insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
Turn off the device by pressing and holding the power button.
Turn on the device, immediately press F9 keyto enter the boot menu, select the target USB flash drive, and then press enter to boot from the USB flash drive containing the recovery image.
Follow on-screen prompts to complete the recovery.
