Reimage Acer Device

Introduction

After BitRaser wiping has been performed on a device and the client plans to redeploy it to a new user, this guide provides instructions on how to create an Acer Recovery USB and use it to reinstall Windows on an Acer device.

Pre-requisite

• Working Windows computer with Acer Care Center

• USB flash drive (16 GB or larger)

• Internet connection

• AC power connection

📥 How to Create an Acer Recovery USB

Download and Install Acer Care Center

1. Open the Acer Drivers and Manuals page on a working Windows computer.

2. Enter the Acer device's Serial Number or SNID.

3. Select Application from the available downloads.

4. Download Acer Care Center.

5. Extract the downloaded file and run Setup.exe to install the application.
   
   

Create the Recovery USB

1. Open Acer Care Center.

2. Select Recovery Management.

3. Under the Backup tab, click Get Started next to Create Factory Default Backup.

4. Insert a 16 GB or larger USB flash drive.

5. Make sure Back up system files to the recovery drive is selected, then click Next.

6. Select the USB flash drive and click Next.

7. Read the warning that all data on the USB drive will be deleted, then click Create.

8. Wait for the recovery drive creation process to complete.

9. Click Finish when the process is completed.

Important: Creating the recovery USB will erase all data stored on the USB drive. Make sure there are no important files on it before starting.

How to Use Acer Recovery USB

2. Power on or restart the device.

3. When the Acer logo appears, repeatedly press F12 to open the Boot Menu.

4. Select the USB Recovery Drive and press Enter.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Windows.

Note: If pressing F12 does not open the Boot Menu, restart the device and press F2 when the Acer logo appears to enter the BIOS.

1. Go to the Main tab.

2. Enable F12 Boot Menu.

3. Press F10 to save the changes and restart the device.

4. When the Acer logo appears, repeatedly press F12 to open the Boot Menu.

5. Select the USB Recovery Drive and press Enter.
