Pre-requisite
A USB flash drive with at least 32 GB of space.
A reliable internet connection.
Your Lenovo ID login details.
Estimated Time: 1–2 hours
Completion time may vary depending on internet speed. Slower internet connections may take longer to download the required recovery files.
Step 1: Prepare your Recovery USB
Request your download: Head over to the Lenovo Recovery Service page. Enter your device's Serial Number and sign in to place your free order.
2. Pick your settings: Choose Windows 11 Pro and set the language to English. Make sure you select the Digital Download option.
3. Get the Creator Tool: Fill in your info, then download and open the Lenovo USB Recovery Creator tool.
4. Choose your drive: Sign in to Lenovo USB Recovery Creator tool and it should see your order. Just select your 32 GB USB drive from the list.
5. Create the USB: Agree to the format prompt, and the tool will handle the rest—downloading and flashing the recovery image to your drive.
Step 2: Boot the Lenovo from the Recovery USB
1. Plug it in: Turn off your laptop completely and plug in your recovery USB
2. Open the Boot Menu: Turn the laptop back on and keep tapping the F12 key until you see the Boot Menu appear on the screen.
3. Boot from USB: Look for an entry similar to USB HDD: Lenovo Recovery USB
Press Enter to select it
4. Product Recovery: Set the language and region then agree to terms and condition.
Note: this will erase all the data on your drive.
5. Remove recovery USB: Remove the FlashDrive from your laptop to continue with the process.
6. Finish up: Let the OS be reinstall completely until it boot into the OOBE environment.
