Dear Community Members,
We are well into our second week of school and it has been wonderful meeting many of the students everywhere on campus and reconnecting with them as well as welcoming those who are new to CAS. They all have thoroughly enjoyed their summer holidays and many remark on the travels they have made with their respective families.
With the help of our usual volunteering members, we organized an amazing new parent breakfast this morning and had the opportunity to sit and speak with many. Many new families and some staff members joined us on the Lower School Terrace to get to know each other around a savory breakfast. Time certainly flies! A couple of decades ago some of the parents attending this morning were actually running around in the hallways. Today, they are here as new parents and that says it all about who we are as a family. Thank you for the trust!
My sincere appreciation goes to the following parent- volunteers for dedicating their time all week to offer us a memorable event. This has been a great welcoming event and one which each new parent remembers and talks about. Thank you!
Ms. Kaoutar Jamai Ghazlani
Ms. Loubna Rhannage
Ms. Sara Jamaleddine
Ms. Fatima-Zahra Laafoura
Ms. Safinaze Chraibi
CAS goes green! We have started installing solar electric panels on the roof of the Upper School Building to reduce our energy bills. We sincerely thank Mr. Lee whose expertise and advice on the school's energy management and vision going forward has really been valuable. Mr. Lee also graciously conducted an energetic audit for us. So far, we have installed 128 panels and we believe that there is still room for more energy efficiency.
In conjunction with CAS going green, we have been instructing our entire staff about the usage of water at CAS as Morocco is facing drought which has been felt dramatically in some regions more than others. We count on our students to also pay attention to this precious resource because we believe every drop of water saved will help our planet earth!
Don’t forget to visit the CAS in a glance this week!
Wishing you all a relaxing weekend.

Things are rockin' in the Preschool and Lower School as we conclude the first full week of the 22/23 school year! Students have mastered expectations, routines, and procedures. Teachers have worked hard to build positive classroom culture and strong connections. Parents have done a great job with punctuality, attendance, flexibility, and support.
Thank you to the Family Outreach Committee for the first event of the school year! On Thursday, they hosted Sunflower Spectacular: Virtual Family Art Night. It was so wonderful to see our artists and their families! Please stay tuned for more family events, most on campus, as well as parent education sessions.
We look forward to seeing parents at Back to School Night on Tuesday. Detailed information and the evening's schedule will be sent Monday. Thank you for understanding this is a CAS parents only event. Family and larger events will take place throughout the year.
This coming Thursday, we will launch our SEL program, Choose Love. More will be shared at the Back to School Night's General Session and detailed info will be sent on Wednesday about the importance of social-emotional learning and this specific program.
Fall MAP testing for G2-6 will take place this week. All students should be at school, well rested and having eaten a good breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday. In keeping with the LS theme of Grow for the Gold, students are reviewing their Spring '22 scores in Math and Reading and setting goals for the Fall '22. More information about MAP will be sent to parents of students in G2-6 on Monday.

The hard work, effort and time teachers invest in their students to ensure their success are the qualities that make them so special. Engaged parents and students complete the puzzle and make teachers’ effort significant and worthwhile.
I am confident that with our commitment to contribute to our learning community we will continue to improve our learning culture and ensure the success of our mission.
We would be delighted if you could join us for Back-to-School Night Wednesday, September 7th to meet your child’s/ children’s teachers. Back-To-School Night schedules were emailed in our different communications to parents and students alike.
Have a great weekend!

We are proud of our 2022 graduates, who are now one step further on their career paths. With a 90% passing rate and 32 points average, we continue to be above the world average in the IB Exams, keeping our standards as the first IB school in North Africa. We remind everyone that IBDP is the program of study at CAS for its terminal years and all students participate. So while you review the statics CAS School's Stats- May 2022 IBDP Exams, please remember that most schools which offer IBDP are selective in which students may take IB. This is not the case at CAS!
We wish our seniors to continue the tradition of getting top scores in this year's exams.
We welcome our juniors to the IB Programme, reassuring them that they will always find support in their teachers and school leadership.
For any questions related to the IB program, contact the IB Coordinator, Ms. Alina Zamfirescu, at azamfirescu@cas.ac.ma.
