We thank the parents and the faculty and staff members who came to the Ordinary General Assembly last Tuesday, February 11th. The General Assembly took place as there was no need for a quorum. Association members approved the 2018-2019 Accounts after the accounts and the KPMG reports were presented. Thank you again for the support and for being our most essential partners in your child's educational journey.
Please have a look at the statistics published by the WHO as of February 12th. It is important that we remain vigilant and alert in regards to the Corona Virus spreading.
Teacher's Appreciation Week coincided with Spirit Week. Each day, students and staff dressed according to the themes agreed upon:
Pajama Day- Monday
Dress like your favorite Teacher, Administrator- Tuesday
99th day of school- Thursday
Valentine's Day- Friday
Students and staff were creative and some were extremely hilarious in their costumes and their creativity. For Dress Up like your favorite teacher for example, we had doubles, triples and even quadruples.
We sincerely thank our wonderful CAS parents, PTC members and Student Council members who spent endless hours to prepare, organize and offer a wonderful week to our teachers. In return, the smiles on our teachers' faces throughout the week showed how much they appreciated their week including a complimentary relaxing massage performed by professionals.
During the Parent-Teacher conferences, we displayed our Lost and Found and invited the parents to look for their children's lost items. Thank you to those who stopped by to look for their children's clothes and personal effects. Please be advised that next week(Wednesday, Feb 19th) we will proceed to donating all remaining items to charity for Nawal El Moutawakel's caravane collection drive.
For security purposes, the school is creating Car Stickers. We would kindly ask you to place on the front, right side windshield of all vehicles that would drive up to school or park. The purpose is to render the vehicle visible from far to our security officers. More information will follow.

All of this would not have been possible without the help of our PTC members who have collaborated with students this week to make this week very special!
Students asked and PTC helped make things happen! On the last day of Teacher Appreciation day, we 've created unique socks that state "Teaching at CAS is a work of Heart" that have been packed as a rose by our super mom Olga Zadaki and distributed to our teachers by their students!
We are very grateful to have such a wonderful community and spirit !

Congratulations to our Grade 6,7 and 8 girls and boys basketball teams for their exciting and competitive matches yesterday against AAC. The Cobra girls were trailing and showed great effort to have their game finish in a draw with multiple scores in the final minute of the game. The Cobra boys used their strong defense and attacking play on offense to claim a 28-5 victory against the Pumas of AAC. Next week, both teams travel to GWA. Thank you for the continued support of Cobra athletics!

Now and especially for Student Led conferences on February 12, all students Pre-First - Grade 5 will be represented by one piece of artwork, hanging outside their base class room.
