Dear Parents:
We are proud of who we are. We are proud of our Parents, Students and Staff! August 25th adds to the many milestones which have been set by CAS. Established in 1973 or 48 years ago, we are the First IB School in North Africa with a 35 year history! What a success yesterday’s COVID-19 test drive-through was! Casablanca American School is the FIRST school in Morocco, ever to implement and carry out COVID testing via its drive-through strategy. In record time, more than 570 students were tested and the results communicated the same day so that our students could have a normal COME-BACK-TO-SCHOOL. Yes, the return to school was Wednesday, August 26th and we are thrilled to regain back some normalcy!
The antigen drive-through test was smooth and none of the students had to leave their cars. The diligent medical staff team worked hard and efficiently along with CAS Faculty, Teacher Assistants and Administrators all wearing a big grin to administer the tests.
We thank the parents, our first partners, in this journey called: The education of our children. It would not have been possible without their total commitment to be on-time for the Antigen tests.
Out of the 576 students tested, 6 were positive. To accommodate those who did not show up to the Antigen COVID tests, we are organizing a Drive-Through for them, on Monday, August 30th through the Back-gate according to the schedule which has been communicated to the parents.
Finally, we are happy to share some of our parent testimonials about Wednesday’s historical testing session:
Mrs. Wafaa Jettou
« I was proud to have a high-quality staff assembled to test our kids today in the most professional and efficient manner possible and impressed by this team’s organization and fast action. All nurses on-board were stringent in following Covid-19 security guidelines in order to best protect our kids and community.
The school nurse helped make our kids feel at ease by first greeting them and then reassuring them that these cotton swab samples weren’t invasive. After testing, she later rewarded them with a sticker. A nice final gesture that left both parents and children happy! It seems like the CAS team has meticulously planned everything and left nothing to chance! »
Mrs. Mounia Bennani-Smires:
Yesterday morning I was once again so proud to be part of this Beautiful community.
The testing process and organisation was just great. The staff was welcoming, a real pleasure to be back !
Sincerely and safely yours!
John Randolph
School Director
Let's fly together for another great academic year 2021-2022. Our fist week went smoothly. Teachers were happy to see the students back, and students were thrilled to be back.
Please enjoy our first gallery!
Please kindly note:
The cafeteria will have two options for students this year.
First one is the Cafeteria Menu paid in advance per month or trimester at the front office, the prices will differ depending on grades.
Please note that all our meals will be served with packaging.
The second option will be the Naps Cards, these cards are prepaid bank cards that will only work at the American school.
With these cards, the child will have access to the Cafeteria Menu + Snack Menu .
The children may have whatever is provided at the cafeteria.
The initial cost of the Naps card is 120 dh. Each parent can top up his child's card at their own discretion using the Naps Application from their phone directly. These cards will make it easy for parents to track down their children's expenses, as well as facilitate recharging the value on the card directly from their phones. Please note that this option will ONLY be available starting September 1st 2021.
