Dear Community Members,
PTC Elections :
Parent Teacher Committee officers normally serve for only one year. This school year, 2022-2023, we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary and, as a school, we have a great deal of work to prepare, but thanks to our PTC, we always succeed in offering fantastic events.
Therefore, I would like to suggest to our Community Members who may be interested in running for the upcoming PTC elections to form and present a slate of officers to head the PTC for 2022-2023. The slates will be voted on and confirmed on September 16th. Should any member of our Parent Community wish to propose their slate composed of a chair, a co-chair, a secretary and a treasurer, we welcome you and encourage you to email me your list of names along with the officers’ positions, on or before Tuesday, September 13th, so we may inform our community in advance of the elections to be held on Friday, September 16,th in the Cafeteria at 08:30. Breakfast is on us!
Thank you for your usual support and we hope you will be able to join.
Uniforms:
We are happy to announce a new addition to our CAS Uniform for male and female students Grade 4 through Grade 12. We would like our students to always look as neat as they can reflecting the school distinguished style. We have asked our Uniform supplier to design a Sports Jacket that could be used for occasions such as MUN, Choral presentations, debates, or other formal events. Please place your order directly with the Uniform Supplier as soon as possible .
The Uniform Supplier is organizing a fitting for the new Sports Jackets next Thursday, September 15,th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Friday, September 16,th from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Please have your child stop by the Uniform shop to be measured.
All school Barbeque:
It is always time to enjoy fellowship, delicious BBQ and fun games for students. That is why we would like you to mark your calendars for the All-School Barbeque that will take place, Saturday, October 1st next to the Soccer field. More details will follow.
Post Back-To-School Night
We had a great and well attended Back-To-School Night last Tuesday and Wednesday evening. We would like to extend our appreciation to all of the parents who took the time to come and to meet with their children’s teachers. Parent involvement is one of the ingredients to student success. When parents get involved students get motivated for they know that their parents are present in their educational journey.
Condolences
It is with great sadness that we have learned that Mrs. Badou, mother of Ayoub, a CAS alumnus and wife of our legendary former national goalkeeper Badou Zaki, passed away last week. Our condolences and thoughts go to the Badou family.
Finally, have a great week-end, and remember to visit our CAS in a glance gallery for this week!
