Dear Parents:
Because we are compelled to comply with the Moroccan authority’s decision to close and restart school on the 1st of October, we made some changes to our 2021/22 academic calendar to maintain 175 instructional days. Kindly pay attention to these changes noted on the calendar below and as published on our School website.
As previously communicated, the school will begin Friday, October 1st. On Friday, we will hold another Covid Drive-Through test. We are doing this to make sure that our Face-to-Face instruction on Monday proceeds in a safe manner. After the Nasal Sample is taken from each student, they will return home and come to school on October 4th. We are happy to announce that students who received their first vaccine shot on the 13th of September will have their second one on the 4th of October. For those students who have not received their first shot as yet, the MASSAR Code will be communicated to their parents shortly so that they can accompany their children to the different vaccination centers assigned to CAS.
School Uniforms and PE Uniforms:
For those who have already ordered the School and PE Uniform Packs, these will be delivered to school on Friday, October 8th. If you have not placed your order yet, please do so asap by contacting Mrs. Kenza Belbacha at: kbelbacha@hotmail.com. Kindly remember that the School Uniforms are mandatory for all students.
Cafeteria Services
Art Cantine cafeteria services are suspended until October 4th. If your child is already on the plan, or if you are interested to enroll your child, please contact Mrs. Sekkat Loubna directly at: loubnasolhi4@gmail.com. The October menu will soon be shared through our Social Media platform.

Special thank you goes to Mr. Khalid Azbane for the donation of 240 hand sanitizers. These will be distributed to classrooms for students’ use.
Fees:
Please pay attention to the various school deadlines. If you have not paid Semester I fees, please contact the Business office asap as the deadline was September 15th. We also invite parents to settle the 1600 dhs for the Antigen Covid test that we will be carrying throughout Trimester I.

Sincere condolences go our colleague Ms. Zhor El Ouazzani for the loss of her father.

I hope everyone enjoyed a deserved, albeit unexpected, few weeks off. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday. So they are ready to restart on a positive note, students are encouraged to resume their typical school year routine including a proper bedtime. Yes the school is closed until October 1st. Yet, let’s not allow this time to overwhelm us especially there is only so much we can do about it!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents and the students for their patience, and most importantly the US teachers for their resilience, their professionalism as we cope with the changes imposed on us. Thank you!
It was nice to see Upper School students take part in the vaccination campaign and the only way to counterpart the pandemic is to vaccinate, vaccinate and vaccinate. Thank you to all the parents for answering our call and for being there under a very short notice.
Looking forward to seeing all the students smile behind their masks on Monday, October 4th.

The cafeteria will have two options for students this year.
First one is the Cafeteria Menu paid in advance per month or trimester at the front office, the prices will differ depending on grades.
Please note that all our meals will be served with packaging.
The second option will be the Naps Cards, these cards are prepaid bank cards that will only work at the American school.
With these cards, the child will have access to the Cafeteria Menu + Snack Menu .
The children may have whatever is provided at the cafeteria.
The initial cost of the Naps card is 120 dh. Each parent can top up his child's card at their own discretion using the Naps Application from their phone directly. These cards will make it easy for parents to track down their children's expenses, as well as facilitate recharging the value on the card directly from their phones. Please note that this option will ONLY be available starting September 1st 2021.

Our vaccination campaign was a success! thank you again to all the parents and the students for being proactive.
A huge thank you to all the parents who were able to make it on Friday Sept 3rd for our annual new parent breakfast. We enjoyed your company, Mr Randolph's wonderful omelettes and were truly looking forward to a wonderful start of the year! A special shout out to our wonderful PTC moms for organizing again another successful event creating such a warm welcome!
Due to the school's emergency closure, our annual back to school barbecue will be postponed until further notice. PTC elections will hence be postponed until school is resumed where a date will be announced. Halloween celebration planning has also been on hold until further notice. We are currently unsure if Halloween celebration will be held held or not as it will truly depend on how the current situation evolves. Please stay tuned !
