Dear Community Members,
We hope you all had an enjoyable vacation with your children.
As it has now been officially announced due to the continued presence of Covid 19, Morocco has made a decision to extend the lockdown from April 20th to May 20th.
Elearning has resumed yesterday Monday, April 20th. Please always remind your children to be on time for their teachers and classmates. All students should arrive at their designated area in your home, have their laptops turned on and ready to participate at least five to ten minutes prior to the start of every eLeaning session.
The COVID-19 virus has severely altered our collective life styles resulting in the closing of schools and the imposition of Distance Learning, lockdowns, quarantines, inability to travel, maintenance of proper social distancing, causing many to be out of work, closing of businesses with many businesses not being able to recover, millions sickened, thousands of deaths, and untold cancelations of events. Despite this our instructional staff have stepped up and answered the call to immediately adjust to a new method of instruction and by doing so have illustrated to everyone their love of teaching and true dedication that oftentimes goes unnoticed. We have a group of wonderful of CAS teachers and they will continue to interact with our students and provide them with the level of education expected of our institution despite the severe limitations imposed upon them.
Our teachers have confronted this situation head on and we all should be proud and appreciative of their level of professionalism, selflessness and altruism.
As of last Sunday, April 19th at 2:00 am, Morocco switched to daylight savings time. Clocks, phones and electronic devices automatically move backward one hour. In this regard, and to accommodate our Muslim community who observe the month of Ramadan, this year only Elearning will start on the first day of Ramadan at 9:00 am instead of 8:00 am. We take this opportunity to wish our Muslim Community a ramadan Moubarak Said. Ramadan will most likely start either on Friday, April 24th or Saturday, April 25th. With this Covid 19, our habits have changed and will so more during this holy month. As a community of wonderful parents, dedicated faculty and engaged students, we will overcome these obstacles and work hand in hand to make sure students get the education they need. Your suggestions are mostly welcome and please reach out to us for any assistance we might be able to help with.
We sincerely thank everyone who have exhibited compassion and magnanimity towards our Support Staff. For our annual Ramadan Food Drive, we will soon communicate to everyone the bank account number for your donations.
As some of you have also expressed their desire to show appreciation towards our dedicated teaching staff, please reach out to our Communication and Marketing Manager Ms. Fatiha Sajid at : fsajid@cas.ac.ma or my administrative assistant, Ms. Halima Mounbahij at: hsarhane@cas.ac.ma for coordination.
Thank you

Dear Juniors,
First, I would like to congratulate you on finishing our 7 College Preparatory Workshops! Since December, we have worked together on completing your university application folder. This week, we have talked about the College Essay and I gave you guidance on how to write it. While we are done with our workshops, you still have work to do to prepare your university applications! The completed folder is due no later than June 15, 2020.
Please click on this document to review the list of tasks you have to complete by then. I have added these tasks and deadlines on ManageBac as well as on BridgeU. Each time you complete a task, I will mark it as done on BridgeU. This should help you stay on track.
I added many useful resources on Schoology that will help you finish your tasks. Please take a look at these resources and make use of them.
In the meanwhile, please remember that College Counseling is Teamwork! And while it is your responsibility to finish all your tasks, it is mine to assist you in this process. Therefore, please reach out to me to schedule individual appointments. My office hours are Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 6 pm. We would meet virtually on Google Meet.

21 years later and these Cobras still reach out to one another to check in on each other during these times! It warms our heart to see the tight bond our students maintain after so many years even though they are miles apart and hours away... what better way than this virtual trend to take advantage to set up a virtual reunion? #onceacobraalwaysacobra
