Zonta Club visits TESDA IX

Members of Zonta Club of Zamboanga City paid a visit to the TESDA IX Zamboanga City office last May 19, 2015 to inquire on the availability of skills training and TESDA scholarship programs. TESDA IX, recognizing the role of women in society and in the advancement of gender equality and development, represented by Regional Operations Division Chief Alan T. Bacatan met with the Zonta Club members and provided them with a list of TESDA Accredited TTIs based in Zamboanga City.

Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. With more than 30,000 members belonging to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 67 countries and geographic areas.

Their objectives include:

  • To improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local level through service and advocacy.

  • To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of members.
