TESDA IX celebrated its 21st anniversary with a host of activities from August 24 to 28, 2015. These activities included a Fire and Earthquake Drill in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defence, Employees’ Day, Skills Demo, Sports fest, Thanksgiving Mass and culminating in the Anniversary Celebration Program.

It was indeed a week of fun, service and recognition as TESDA personnel and staff enjoyed free services and skills demo. Games such as basketball, volleyball and parlor games were played to strengthen the employees’ camaraderie. A thanksgiving mass was also offered during the anniversary date on August 25, 2015

On the last day, August 28, the agency awarded its Regional Winners of the Tatak TESDA Video Making Contest, TESDA Idol and TESDA Kabalikat Awardees with trophies and plaques of appreciation. Employees who have been in the service for at least 10 years were awarded with loyalty awards. Also, during the Anniversary Program, a Salamat, Paalam at Mabuhay was held in honour of outgoing OIC-RTC Administrator Alberto V. Alarcon. A video presentation was prepared by RTC Caretaker Geronimo A. Bandico and staff. Messages of recollection and well wishes were given by his colleagues.

The anniversary celebration marks TESDA’s 21 years in the pursuit of “the development of the Filipino workforce with world-class competence and positive work values” through technical-vocational skills training.
