(Dipolog School of Fisheries Press Release)

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between Dipolog School of Fisheries (DSF) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) last April. 23, 2015 at DSF Function Hall, Olingan, Dipolog City for a joint venture of giving Cookery NC II training grants for the 4P’s recipients in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

As remembered, DSWD’s 4Ps (Pantawid sa Pamilyang Pilipino Pangkabuhayan) scholars were accommodated by DSF last January 2015 to foster Filipino youth’s education, trade, and livelihood. This time, the contract bound together again, when DSF Vocational Administrator III, Mme. Rosella D. Darcera and DSWD-Regional Project Director for Sustainable Livelihood Program, Ms. Elizabeth L. Saavedra signed the concord without hesitation.

Ms. Saavedra stressed out during her speech that this program was solely created for the benefit of the common people (4P’s) and that DSWD will also provide them not only the trainings and assessments for NC II but will also support them in the venture of entrepreneurial activity like establishing a catering business for their respective municipalities.

Mme. Darcera was grateful for the partnership because it instills that DSWD fellows had trust and confidence to the institution.

Witnesses during the MOA signing were Mr. Alex Z. Sabal, SLP-ZN-Provincial Coordinator with some DSWD personnel, and few DSF Administrative Staff and Faculty.

Approximately P2M is the cost allocated for the said project.
